Easy Granola Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 heaping cup pecans chopped roughly or another nut of your choosing
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cusp almonds
  • 1/4 cashew halves
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup craisins
  • 3/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup optional
  • chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees
  • Mix all the dry ingredients together, except the craisins if you prefer the craisins to not be crispy, and not the chocolate chips
  • Stir the wet ingredients until smooth
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients in a large bowl until the mixture is moistened.
  • Spread the mixture on the baking sheet in a thin layer (you might need 2 baking sheets).
  • Bake for one hour, stirring every 20 minutes. In the last 20 minutes add the craisins.
  • When you remove the granola from the oven let it sit for 30 minutes so the granola forms yummy clusters
  • Add the chocolate if desired!
