These juicy spinach and feta burgers are packed with Mediterranean flavor, melty mozzarella, fresh parsley, and crunchy panko breadcrumbs. They’re the perfect healthier twist on a classic burger — quick to make, full of flavor, and perfect for weeknight dinners or summer grilling.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef or turkey

  • Fresh spinach, and chopped

  • Crumbled feta cheese

  • Shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

  • Onion, diced (optional)

  • Garlic, minced

  • Panko breadcrumbs

  • Egg

  • Oregano, salt, and black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the ground meat, raw chopped spinach, feta, mozzarella, parsley, onion, garlic, panko, egg, and seasonings..
  • Shape mixture into 4–6 even-sized burger patties.

  • Heat a grill pan, skillet, or outdoor grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for beef or 165°F for turkey.

  • Serve burgers on toasted buns with your favorite toppings such as tzatziki, cucumbers, tomatoes, or caramelized onions or serve as is.

Notes

  • Fresh raw spinach works perfectly—just chop it small so it blends into the meat.

  • Swap mozzarella for cheddar or gouda if you want a cheesier, richer flavor.

  • To make gluten-free, use almond flour or gluten-free panko instead of breadcrumbs.

  • These patties freeze well—form ahead, freeze on a baking sheet, then store in a freezer bag. Cook straight from frozen, adding a few minutes to the cook time.
