These delicious Big Mac Sloppy Joes come together in less than 30 minutes, has minimal dishes, and is a recipe that my whole family loves!

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef Recipe:

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1/4 cup hamburger pickles, chopped
  • 1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

McDonald’s Copycat Secret Sauce Recipe:

  • 1/4 cup French dressing
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Sandwich Fixin’s:

  • 8 hamburger buns (If you do double decker sandwiches, this will yield 4 sandwiches. If you do a single layer, this will yield 8 sandwiches.)
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 2 cups iceberg lettuce
  • 12 hamburger pickle chips

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef halfway through (about 3-4 minutes.) Add in the chopped yellow onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Continue cooking the meat until fully browned and drain excess grease. Then, stir in chopped pickles.
  • Mix all of the Secret Sauce ingredients in a small bowl, stirring well.
  • Add 1 cup of the Secret Sauce to the meat mixture and stir (apply the rest to the hamburger buns.)
  • Cook the meat mixture for 1 additional minute, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve with preferred hamburger fixings and enjoy!

Tip: Never drain excess grease directly down the drain, as it can cause costly plumbing damage. Rather, drain into a disposable cup with a lid (I reused a rinsed cream cheese container) and throw away.

Notes

For a healthier option, you can make the following substitutions:

  • Swap out the ground beef for chicken or ground turkey.
  • Use reduced-fat mayonnaise instead of regular mayo.
  • Enjoy without a bun or with a lettuce wrap.
  • For a vegetarian option, replace the ground beef with veggies of your choice.
