Ingredients

  • Bacon thin cut
  • Boursin Cheese garlic-herb flavor
  • Light Brown Sugar
  • Butter Crackers like Club
  • Red Pepper Flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat & prep: Heat your oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. If you want crispier bacon, set a wire rack on top.
  • Lay out the crackers: Arrange your Club crackers in a single layer on the prepared pan.
  • Spread the Boursin: Using a butter knife or small spatula, spread a thin layer of Boursin cheese on each cracker. This creamy base melts slightly as it bakes, giving that irresistible savory flavor.
  • Add the bacon: Cut thin-sliced bacon into small pieces (about one-third or half strips). Place one piece on top of each cracker.
  • Sprinkle the sweetness: Add about 1 teaspoon of brown sugar over each cracker, letting it coat the bacon evenly.
  • Add the heat: Lightly sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes on top. Adjust to taste depending on how spicy you want them.
  • Bake: Bake for 25–35 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the brown sugar is bubbling and caramelized.
  • Cool & serve: Let the crackers cool for about 5–10 minutes. They’ll firm up as the sugar sets, becoming perfectly crunchy on the edges and melty in the center.

Notes

Storage:
  • Store any leftover crackers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Serve them straight from the fridge or let them come to room temperature for a few minutes to remove the chill. You can also reheat in a 350° oven for 5-8 minutes to re-crisp.
  • Freeze leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge or at room temperature and enjoy.
  • These are a great make ahead appetizer — prep them up to a day ahead, store in the fridge, then bake right before serving.
