Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl combine the cake mix, melted butter, 2 eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish to form the cake base.
  • In another bowl beat together the cream cheese, cocoa powder, and remaining 2 eggs until smooth.
  • Slowly mix in the powdered sugar until the topping becomes thick and creamy.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake layer in the pan.
  • Bake for about 45 minutes, until the center is set but still slightly gooey.
  • Allow the cake to cool before slicing so the layers set properly.
