4Nerds Ropes2 for loops, 2 for ribbon tails
½–1 cup white buttercreamoptional for smoothing the cake

Gently remove any decorative icing or piping from the top and sides.
If stacking cakes, add a thin layer of buttercream between the two for stability and height.
Use extra buttercream to smooth the sides and top for a clean “blank canvas.”
Form two Nerds Rope loops and pinch them together in the center to make the bow.
Cut another Nerds Rope in half to create two ribbon tails.
Attach the tails under the loops using a bit of icing or a toothpick.
Place the completed bow on top of the cake.
Add sprinkles or glitter for extra holiday magic.
Display on a cake stand and serve.
Notes
Add the Nerds Rope bow right before serving so it stays firm and glossy. This hack works with any basic round white cake from the bakery section.
