Crockpot Chicken Drumsticks

These easy Crockpot Chicken Drumsticks are cooked low and slow in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. With just a handful of ingredients and almost no prep, they're an easy family-friendly dinner for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken drumsticks
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Sesame seeds sliced green onions, or parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

  • Lightly coat the inside of a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Arrange the chicken drumsticks in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, and minced garlic.
  • Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken drumsticks.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for about 4 hours or LOW for about 6 hours, until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F.
  • Carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and spoon some of the sauce over the top.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, or parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For crispier, stickier chicken drumsticks, transfer the cooked chicken to a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush with additional sauce and broil for 2–4 minutes, watching closely, until the outside is caramelized.
Reduced-sodium soy sauce can be used to reduce the saltiness.
Cooking times can vary slightly depending on the size of the drumsticks and your slow cooker.
