Ingredients
Foam Cones (This 6-pack from Amazon is great, or you can get them from any craft store)
Toothpicks (about 50-100, depending on how many cones you’re making)
Pineapple (I used two. Be sure to save the top for the “trees.”)
Favorite fruit: I used a mixture of Strawberries and basil leaves for the tree. You can also green grapes or raspberries!)
Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top for “snow.”
Instructions
Pineapple Tree: Cut off the top leaves of a pineapple and place upside down on your food board. As a bonus, you can cut a slice of pineapple with a cookie cutter to make a star or snowflake shape. Secure to the top of the leaves using a toothpick.
Strawberry Tree – Wrap a foam cone in Saran Wrap. Using toothpics, attach strawberries to cover the cone (you can also use grapes!) Add pops of color with basil leaves, raspberries, cranberries, or pomegranates.
Sprinkle trees with powdered sugar using a sprinkle duster container. I love this option that’s under $6!
Surround food board with fresh fruit and/or dipping sauces like chocolate or caramel.
