How to Make Patriotic Boozy Cherries

These Patriotic Cherries are so fun & festive! Soak cherries in alcohol then dip in white chocolate and sprinkles. That’s it!

Ingredients

    • One jar of maraschino cherries, with stems

    • White chocolate morsels

    • Blue sprinkles or sanding sugar

    • Vodka or preferred alcohol (enough to fill the mason jar)- I used whip cream vodka

If you want to make them without alcohol or kid-friendly, skip soaking the cherries!

Instructions

    • Drain the syrup from the jar of maraschino cherries. After you drain the cherries, you have two options: For sweeter cherries, do NOT rinse the syrup from the cherries. For less sweet and stronger vodka cherries, DO rinse the cherries. (I wanted stronger, less sweet cherry bombs, so I DID rinse the cherries)

    • Return the drained cherries to the jar. Fill the jar with vodka to the top and close. Refrigerate overnight.

    • The next day, drain the cherries and place the cherries on a paper towel. TIP: Save the cherry-infused vodka for later use!

    • Melt the white chocolate wafers according to the package directions in a bowl.

    • Place blue sprinkles in a bowl or plate.

    • Hold a cherry by the stem, dip the bottom into the white chocolate, gently shake off excess, then dip the bottom in the sprinkles. Rest on parchment paper.

    • Refrigerate! The chocolate should set within 30 minutes. Enjoy!
