Directions

  1. Drain the syrup from the jar of maraschino cherries. After you drain the cherries, you have two options: For sweeter cherries, do NOT rinse the syrup from the cherries. For less sweet and stronger vodka cherries, DO rinse the cherries. (I wanted stronger, less sweet cherry bombs, so I DID rinse the cherries)
  2. Return the drained cherries to the jar. Fill the jar with vodka to the top and close. Refrigerate overnight.
  3. The next day, drain the cherries and place the cherries on a paper towel. TIP: Save the cherry-infused vodka for later use!
  4. Melt the white chocolate wafers according to the package directions in a bowl.
  5. Place blue sprinkles in a bowl or plate.
  6. Hold a cherry by the stem, dip the bottom into the white chocolate, gently shake off excess, then dip the bottom in the sprinkles. Rest on parchment paper.
  7. Refrigerate! The chocolate should set within 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Perfect Presentation Platters

These Patriotic Cherries look bright and colorful on just about anything! First, we are always updating our Amazon Storefront with affordable, adorable products. Here are some of our other favorite platters:

Patriotic Serving Trays: How cute and fun are these red, white, and blue serving trays from Amazon?

White Serving Platters: For some lookalike platters, you could go with this set of two white porcelain platters, which can be used year-round for so many different occasions! I also love this marble tray for an amazing price!! For another all-white option, this white marble pastry board from World Market is my favorite!

Checkered Serving Boards: I used my Mackenzie-Childs check-chop board for both function and decor, which also comes in large. These are definitely investment pieces, but you can also check out a $30 version from Amazon or this version from Temu for under $25!

Kitchen Links: I get asked all the time about the products in the background of my kitchen. Much of it is from MacKenzie-Childs, which I have slowly grown a collection of over the years! My favorites are my black and white checkered teapot, and the gray and white checkered utensil holder. I also have this enamel canister that you can find in smallmedium, or large.

Can I Prep This in Advance?

Yes! If using alcohol, you’ll want to soak them starting the night before so they can absorb. Even if you aren’t using alcohol, you can make these up to two days in advance. (Just store in the fridge!)

Storing Leftover Patriotic Cherries

Place any leftovers in a Tupperware container or Ziploc bag and refrigerate, where it should stay fresh for several days. If the cherries have been soaked in alcohol, be sure to store safely away from little hands.
