This delicious pull-apart bread can be made in advance, so all you have to do is pop it in the oven during those busy Christmas mornings!

Ingredients

Scale

Supplies Needed: One bunt pan or fluted tube cake pan

Instructions

  • Grease bunt pan with cooking spray.
  • If using biscuits, cut them into quarters.
  • Melt butter in the microwave and combine with remaining ingredients (butterscotch pudding mix, cinnamon, and brown sugar.)
  • If using biscuits, combine the biscuits with the other ingredients in large bowl and place in pan. (If using frozen rolls, place them in the pan first. Then, pour the mixture over the top of the frozen rolls and let the mixture fall down through the cracks.)
  • If using non-frozen rolls, refrigerate until you are ready to bake. If using frozen rolls, leave out at room temperature overnight (or at least 5 hours) for the rolls to defrost and rise.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes.
  • Turn upside down to remove from pan and serve warm.

Notes

Optional Decorations: This butterscotch monkey bread looks beautiful on its own! If you’d like to jazz it up a bit more, you can add some extra embellishments, such as:

  • Sprinkling with powdered sugar. (I love to use a dispenser, so it comes out evenly.)
  • Adding holiday sprinkles for a pop of color
  • Creating an edible bow using Fruit by the Foot. You can see how I did this for a cream-puff wreath here!
