We made this sweet and salty Popcorn Puppy Chow for Easter and couldn’t love it more! (Popcorn is a nice twist over Chex Mis for this treat, in our opinion!) We tossed in some Easter candies for a festive twist, but this is the perfect snack any time of year. 🐣🍫

Ingredients

Scale

No cereal needed—just popcorn, chocolate, peanut butter, and a lot of powdered sugar.

    • 10 cups popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup kernels or 23 bags microwave popcorn, plain or lightly salted)

    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

    • ¼ cup unsalted butter

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

    • 1 ½2 cups powdered sugar

    • Optional Add-ins: Egg candies, Mini marshmallows, pretzels, crushed cookies, mini M&Ms, or sprinkles

Instructions

    • Pour the popcorn in a large bowl.

    • Melt the chocolate and butter together in 15-second intervals in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl.

    • Add peanut butter to the chocolate and butter mixture and stir.

    • Pour the chocolate, butter, and peanut butter mixture over the popcorn and mix together.

    • Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar.

    • Optional: Add seasonal candies or sprinkles. Enjoy!
