Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl. I stir after each 30-second interval until the chocolate chips are melted.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate mixture onto a baking pan or sheet lined with wax or parchment paper.
  3. Add three white melting chocolate circles for each snowman in sections around the chocolate.
  4. Add pretzel pieces for the arms and draw on face and buttons with edible markers.
  5. Sprinkle the surrounding areas with sprinkles and nonpareils.
  6. Allow the chocolate to cool and harden completely before breaking into individual pieces. You can also use a knife or cookie cutter for more precise sections.

Tip: You can add 1 tbsp shortening to the chocolate chips so the melted mixture spreads easier.

Notes

Substitutions:

  • Chocolate Chips: You can also use melting chocolate in any color instead of the chocolate chips. I bet blue melting chocolates would look like a beautiful winter scene!
  • White Melting Chocolate: You can substitute with jumbo marshmallows instead
  • Sprinkles or Nonpareils: Feel free to swap the small sprinkles with powdered sugar and the nonpareils with coconut flakes (I’d recommend trimming them a bit smaller.)
  • Edible Markers: You can also use a clean paint brush dipped in food coloring to draw the snowman embellishments if you don’t have edible markers.
