Cook Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 medium tomatoes seeded and diced
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives chopped
  • Additional chives and bacon for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Cook the bacon until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and allow it to cool before crumbling.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch seasoning until smooth.
  • Fold in the diced tomatoes, chopped chives, and most of the crumbled bacon, reserving a small amount for garnish.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and top with the remaining bacon and additional chives if desired.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Serve with crackers, toasted baguette slices, potato chips, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Storage:
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. The tomatoes may release some water, so drain any excess moisture from the dip and give it a stir to refresh before serving again.
  • Prep the components of this dip ahead of time — mix together the creamy base, cook the bacon and chop the tomatoes in advance, then combine and mix right before serving to avoid a watery dip.
