Ingredients

  • 1 4-ounce package Panino Prosciutto (mozzarella cheese wrapped in prosciutto)
  • 1 8-ounce package goat cheese
  • 1 4-ounce package garlic and herb goat cheese
  • 4 –5 slices prosciutto
  • 1 tomato
  • Crackers or favorite dippers for serving

Instructions

  • Make a template. Trace your hand onto parchment or wax paper and place it on your serving board. This is optional but makes it much easier to create realistic proportions.
  • Arrange the fingers. Place the prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella pieces over the finger portion of your template. Trim the pieces as necessary to create different finger lengths.
  • Create the palm. Position the smaller log of goat cheese directly underneath the fingers to form the palm of the hand.
  • Add the wrist and forearm. Place the larger goat cheese log beneath the palm. Gently shape the cheese as needed so the sections resemble a hand, wrist, and forearm.
  • Transfer to your serving board. If you assembled the hand directly over your parchment template, carefully transfer the pieces to the board and remove the parchment.
  • Cover with prosciutto. Drape the remaining slices of prosciutto over the goat cheese palm, wrist, and forearm. Allow the prosciutto to naturally wrinkle and overlap for a more realistic, creepy appearance.
  • Make the fingernails. Cut five small fingernail shapes from the tomato and place one at the end of each mozzarella finger.
  • Finish the board. Arrange crackers and your favorite charcuterie additions around the hand.
  • Serve. For an extra spooky touch, place a cheese knife into the prosciutto hand before serving. Serve chilled or slightly cool and enjoy.
