Notes
Tips:
Dry Apples Completely: Pat them totally dry before using — any moisture keeps the caramel from sticking.
Chill Apples Briefly Before Dipping: This will help the caramel set faster.
Work with Warm Caramel: Warm it slightly before dipping, it'll be easier to work with and stick more evenly.
Use Room-Temperature Apples: The toppings, especially the more delicate ones, will stick better when the apples aren't chilled.
Storage:
Store leftover caramel apples or slices loosely wrapped in the fridge for up to 1 week. They're best enjoyed within a few days for the freshest flavor and texture, so we recommend eating them sooner than later!
Store leftover toppings in airtight containers or zip top food storage bags at room temperature or in the fridge for later use.
