Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry thawed
  • 2 –3 medium apples cored and sliced into ¼-inch rings
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
  • Caramel sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Core the apples and slice into ¼-inch rings.
  • Roll the thawed puff pastry slightly and cut into thin strips.
  • Wrap each apple ring with the pastry strips, leaving portions of the apple exposed.
  • Brush the pastry with melted butter.
  • Stir together the sugar and cinnamon, then generously sprinkle over each apple ring.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  • Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

Honeycrisp apples are my favorite for this recipe.
For extra sparkle, sprinkle coarse sugar over the pastry before baking.
Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer for the crispiest texture.
