Ingredients

  • 1 lb shredded cooked chicken
  • 8 oz ⅓-fat cream cheese softened
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix about 1 oz
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup buffalo wing sauce like Frank’s RedHot
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce optional but recommended
  • Optional: Thinly sliced scallions and extra cheddar for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  • Mix the creamy base: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, ranch seasoning mix, and Worcestershire. Stir or beat with a hand mixer until smooth.
  • Add chicken, sauce, and cheese: Fold in the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cheddar, and mozzarella until fully combined.
  • Assemble: Spread the mixture into the prepared dish. Top with extra cheese if desired.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden around the edges.
  • Serve: Garnish with scallions and an extra drizzle of buffalo sauce. Enjoy warm with tortilla chips, pretzels, celery sticks, or crackers!

Notes

Storage:
Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just be sure to let it fully cool first. Reheat, covered, at 350°F until melty and bubbly.
Make this dip ahead of time and up to a day before serving, unbaked. Store in the refrigerator and when you're ready to serve, bake per the instructions. We don't recommend freezing the dip since it can change the texture once thawed and reheated.
Expert Tips:
  • Shred Your Own Cheese. Pre-shredded cheese doesn't always melt as well, so it's worth it.
  • Get Creative with Dippers. Almost anything goes here, truly. Crunchy and salty tortilla chips, pretzels, or crackers pair nicely. And crisp, fresh veggies like carrots, celery and cucumbers are delicious, too. If you're up for it, make homemade pita chips or serve with grilled bread.
  • Repurpose the Leftovers. Add any leftover dip to a grilled cheese sandwich, top store-bought pizza dough with it, or stir it into your favorite mac and cheese to really take every day dishes to new flavor heights.
  • If you want an extra golden brown top, you can broil the buffalo chicken dip for a couple of minutes before serving.
