Ingredients

  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 12 Halloween-shaped marshmallows
  • Halloween candy eyes and mouth decorations as needed

Instructions

  • Prepare the mold. Place a silicone semi-sphere mold on a small baking sheet or flat tray so it is easy to transfer to the freezer.
  • Add the whipped cream. Spoon or pipe the whipped cream into each cavity of the silicone mold, filling each one to the top. Gently smooth the whipped cream with the back of a spoon.
  • Add the marshmallows. For the marshmallow version, place one Halloween marshmallow on top of each whipped cream-filled cavity. Gently press it into the whipped cream so it stays in place.
  • Make the monster faces. For the monster version, arrange candy eyes and a candy mouth directly on top of each whipped cream portion to create a monster face.
  • Freeze. Carefully transfer the silicone mold to the freezer. Freeze for at least 3 hours, or until the whipped cream toppers are completely firm.
  • Remove from the mold. Gently press each frozen whipped cream topper out of the silicone mold.
  • Serve. Place one frozen Halloween whipped cream topper directly on top of a mug of hot chocolate, coffee, or your favorite warm fall drink. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Keep the whipped cream toppers frozen until you're ready to serve them. There is no need to thaw them first.
  • Once completely frozen, transfer the toppers to an airtight freezer-safe container for storage.
  • If stacking the toppers, place parchment or wax paper between the layers to prevent them from sticking together.
  • You can use regular marshmallows instead of Halloween-shaped marshmallows. Draw ghosts, pumpkins, Frankenstein faces, or other Halloween characters on them with edible food markers.
  • Halloween sprinkles, candy eyeballs, mini chocolate chips, and other edible decorations can also be used to create different designs.
  • The number of toppers will depend on the size of your silicone semi-sphere mold.
