Ingredients

The beauty of this snack stadium is you can fill it with all of your favorite Super Bowl foods! I love to fill it with chips, veggies, fruit, desserts, even waffle fries and wings! Here is what I used:

  • Snacks: Chip assortment, pretzels, french fries, popcorn
  • Veggies: Carrots, celery, and cucumbers
  • Entrees: Sandwich wraps, chicken wings, mini hot dogs. I always browse the frozen food section or if you are in a pinch to prep, look at the hot bar!
  • Dips: Guacamole dip and sour cream for the field lines.
  • Desserts: Cupcakes or mini cupcakes

Leanna’s Tip: To get the sour cream in straight lines transfer to a piping bag like this one.

Equipment

Don’t worry, you won’t need to be cutting and gluing foam board to make this! Here’s all you need:

  1. Acrylic White Serving Trays – These come in sets of three and I ordered two sets!
  2. Pool Noodle (I used 3 total) or this option or a Pipe Insulation Tube (to hold up the trays)
  3. Football Cake Decoration Set – For the endzones and the football accents!
  4. Football Field Disposable Plastic Tablecloth – For the base of the stadium
  5. Two sheets of thin white poster board
  6. White Duct Tape and scissors (to secure the pool noodles to the back of the serving trays)

How to Make a Super Bowl Snack Stadium

1. First, place the disposable green tablecloth on your serving area
2. Next, place your serving trays on top of the tablecloth. Put one in each “end zone” and combine two trays for each side of the stadium, for a total of 6 trays.
3. Then, trim your pool noodles so they are slightly shorter than the length of each serving tray section.
4. Tape the pool noodles to the back of the trays with duct tape so they rest on a slight angle.

5. Trim a piece of white poster board to equal the height of the stadium trays once they are angled and tape to the back of each tray section (to cover the pool noodles.) This should make one long oval shape.

Expert Tips

  • Fill the trays with all of your favorite finger foods. To make this easy, I suggest heading to the prepared foods section and frozen aisle of the grocery store. Pick up anything that’s quick to prep!
  • Don’t put the guacamole field out until right before the guests arrive. You don’t want the guacamole to turn brown quickly, so hold off on preparing this step in advance. To keep the guac from turning brown, be sure to add extra freshly squeezed lime juice.
  • If you fill the whole field, chances are you won’t need much other food! I’ve serve a whole crowd off of this snack stadium. It was quick to prepare and I didn’t have to make that many more dishes to serve alongside.
  • To make sure you have straight field lines, put the sour cream in a piping back and use a ruler to help guide you!

Storage

I always recommend airtight containers to keep leftovers the most fresh, but you can also use ziptop bags! Refrigerate any perishables, which should stay fresh for 3-5 days. For any dry snacks like the pretzels and chips, you can either discard or put back in the original packaging and store at room temp.

You can absolutely assemble the Super Bowl Snack Stadium well in advance to free you up for game day preparations. Keep snacks that need to be refrigerated cool until serving time and let any snacks from the oven cool a bit before transferring to the trays.

Pro Tip: Wait until serving time to create the guacamole field so it stays nice and green and doesn’t turn brown before your guests arrive.
