How to Make Fun and Festive Shamrock Pretzel Pops
These Shamrock Pretzel Pops are such an easy, cute, and kid-friendly dessert to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!
Let’s be honest: baking with kids is not always…helpful. That’s why I love finding recipes that double as an activity and treat for the kids where they can just have fun and be creative! These Shamrock Pretzel Pops are also a great option for St. Patrick’s Day festivities or classroom parties.
Ingredients
You only need a handful of ingredients for this recipe!
- 1 bag green candy melts 12 oz
- 45 mini pretzel twists
- 15 small lollipop sticks
- Green and white sprinkles
Supplies Needed: Parchment Paper and lollipop sticks
Directions
- Lay out a piece of parchment paper.
- In a small microwave safe bowl, add candy melts and heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
- Dip the end of the lollipop stick into chocolate and lay on the parchment paper.
- Next, dip one pretzel twist in your chocolate at a time. Use a fork to lift it out of the chocolate and lay three in a group with the bottoms touching each other in the shape of a shamrock.
- Add the lollipop stick in the center of the three pretzels and top with sprinkles.
- Leave them to set for about 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.
Here’s a Quick Video Tutorial!
Fun tip: I always love to surround my serving boards with decorations like twinkle lights, banners, or other holiday decorations.
Perfect Presentation Platters
These Shamrock Pretzel Pops are so cute on their own and can be presented on so many types of serving platters. Here are some of my favorites!
Wooden Serving Boards: I used this distressed rectangular serving board from Target. Some other fun options are this wooden version from Kirklands or this mango wooden board from Target for a great price. For some higher-end options, Pottery Barn has this handcrafted version and Williams-Sonoma has this pretty rectangular cheeseboard. Antique Farmhouse also has this handy set of three.
For a wood/marble combo, JC Penny has this pretty marble and wood serving board and West Elm has this gorgeous wood set.
White Platters: If you’d prefer an all-marble look, I love this marble pastry board or this round agate board (both from World Market.) Walmart has this beautiful option for a great price and JC Penney has and this marble and wooden cake stand.
St. Patrick’s Day Shirts: For some festive outfits, I love this or this emoji option from Etsy. For a cozy and cute sweatshirt, I would also recommend this cute Lucky shirt or this cropped Ireland sweatshirt. You could also go with this retro t-shirt or this fun t-shirt!
Kitchen Links: I get asked all the time about the products in the background of my kitchen. Much of it is from MacKenzie-Childs, which I have slowly grown a collection of over the years! My favorites are this checkered chopping board, my black and white checkered teapot, and the gray and white checkered utensil holder. I also have this enamel canister that you can find in small, medium, or large.
Can I Make These Ahead of Time?
Absolutely! These can be served after 30 minutes and also should stay fresh for 1-2 weeks if you’d like to prepare ahead of time.
Storing Shamrock Pretzel Pops
Store these in a Tupperware container or Ziploc bag in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
Enjoy!
I hope these Shamrock Pretzel Pops are an easy, fun, and festive activity in your home! Thanks so much for visiting my neck of the woods and I hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day!
