Mixture for Overnight French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

French Toast Casserole:

  • 1 loaf brioche (cubed)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups half & half
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt

Cinnamon Crunch Topping:

  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
French Toast Casserole Preparation

Directions

  1. Grease a 9×13 dish and arrange sliced or cubed brioche.
  2. Whisk eggs, half & half, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour over bread and press down. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  3. For topping, melt butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a saucepan. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour topping over casserole and bake 45-50 minutes until golden and set.
  5. Cool slightly, serve with syrup or powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Storing Leftover French Toast Casserole

Place any leftovers in a Tupperware container and refrigerate, where it should stay fresh for 2-3 days. To reheat, microwave for 30-second intervals until your preferred temperature is reached.
