Easter Charcuterie Board

This Easter Charcuterie Board is easy to put together and looks so impressive for any brunch or party you plan to host for the spring holiday. Customize it to your liking with any ingredients you desire!

Easter is probably one of my favorite holidays to decorate and cook for! I love making this easy Easter Charcuterie Board with both sweet and savory ingredients (my kids adore it too!). It looks so impressive and is made completely with store-bought items!

Fill the board with cheeses, fruits, charcuterie, candies, and even a cake bunny! I have the best secret trick to making this bunny. You can either use store-bought cake mix or a sheet cake and cookie cutters to shape the bunny seamlessly.

Serve alongside my Tater Tot Breakfast Breakfast Casserole and Lemon Blueberry French Toast Bake for the ultimate spread that your family is guaranteed to love.

Leanna’s Tip: I like to begin buying items for this Easter grazing board once I see them pop up at the store. This way I’m prepared to assemble even up to a day in advance!

Ingredients

Here are some of my favorite ingredients, but it really is up to you! Pick and choose all of your favorite sweet and savory bites.

  • Cake and frosting: Use a store-bought cake mix here or even buy a sheet cake from the bakery section of the grocery store. I like to use cookie cutters to cut out two circles and the ears from a flat sheet cake.
  • Cheese cubes: Use any cheese you like.
  • Fruits: I like to add grapes, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and kiwi for color.
  • Crackers: Adds nice crunch and savory flavors to each bite.
  • Dried fruit: Such as oranges or apricots.
  • Veggies: I like to use cucumbers and carrots.
  • Cashews: A nice nutty and rich flavor to compliment the candy and cheeses. Feel free to use your favorite nuts here.
  • Salami: Pairs well with the cheese and crackers, I love to make a salami rose (video below).
  • Peanut M&M’s: Nutty and crunchy with that hint of chocolate.
  • Chocolate eggs: Adds rich chocolate flavor for a kiss of sweetness.
  • Jelly Beans: An Easter classic candy, choose a classic mix or your favorite kind.

How to Make an Easter Charcuterie Board

  1. Start with a cake mix and follow directions on box. Use cookie cutters or a cake pan to make bunny shape (You can also use a round bowl or glass to make the circular shapes, or trace/draw the shapes you need on parchment paper.)
  2. Frost bunny cake and place in the middle of the board.
  3. Start placing the larger snacks on the outside rim of the board (such as the grapes and cheese cubes.)
  4. Work your way towards the center of the board using the smaller items (such as Jelly Beans or M & M’s.)
  5. Decorate as desired with small dishes and salami/turkey roses.

Expert Tips

  • There isn’t a wrong way to set up your board. Just start with the larger items and fill in with the smaller goodies!
  • You can make a salami rose by layering the slices over the rime of a glass, then turn it upside down to place on the board! See the video below.
  • Choose a variety of ingredients your whole family will like! That’s the best part of this recipe, you can build the board with any items you choose!
  • Go all sweet or all savory, or a mixture of both. I like to add both sweet and savory ingredients to my board, but you can make it a dessert board if you desire.
  • The size of the board is determined by how many people you are serving. Pick a large board for a big group, I’ve even made a grazing for for 2 to 4 people too!

Storage

Store any leftovers in Zip top bags, Tupperware containers, or their original packaging. Be sure to refrigerate cheese, fruit, or meat. You can store the dry goods for up to 2 weeks, and the fridge items up to 4 days.

You can prepare this Easter grazing board 2-3 days ahead of time and store in the refrigerator. Tip: wait to add the crackers until closer to serving time so they stay fresh.

How do I keep an Easter charcuterie board fresh outside?

If it’s warm, it’s best to keep it outside for a maximum of 2 hours. Be sure to avoid direct sunlight and also put a bug net over the board if needed.
