How To Make Mini Apple Pies Recipe
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. Roll out pie crust and cut into 12 circles using a cup or small bowl
3. Press each circle in muffin tins until all the way up each side, to form little bowls.
4. Mix by hand all filling ingredients and spoon into muffin bowls
5. Use the extra pie crust to decorate them anyway you like with extra crust, or just leave plain.
6. Bake at 425 degrees for 16-18 minutes. (Until crust is light brown and apples are bubbling).

Expert Tips
- Dice the Apples Small and the Same Size: Cut them uniformly so they cook through fully, evenly, and in a shorter mini-pie bake time.
- Skip Greasing The Muffin Tin: Really, there’s no need to grease the muffin pan — the pie crust won’t stick. Another reason we love working with store-bought pie crust so much!
- Let Pies Cool Before Removing: Allow them to cool for just a few minutes before taking them out of the pan so they hold their shape.
- Use a Small Cookie Cutter on Dough Scraps: You’ll have some extra dough pieces, and that’s ok! Use a small cookie cutter to punch out shapes to decorate the pie tops for a bakery-style look.
Variations & Substitutions
- Serve Warm and A La Mode: There’s nothing better than warm apple pie with with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Add a drizzle of caramel sauce for even more indulgent flavor.
- Try Another Fruit: Swap in pears or a mix of apples and pears for a different and just as delicious fall flavor.
- Add a Crumb Topping: Finish the pies with a buttery crumb topping instead of a pie crust lid for a streusel-style mini pie.
- Make a Lattice Top: Use thin strips of the extra pie crust for a fancy, traditional presentation.
