How to Make an Adorable Veggie Basket for Spring!
This Veggie Basket may just be too cute to eat! All you need is a basket, serving board, two upside-down bowls, and your favorite vegetables! As an extra bonus it’s also super east to carry and transport!
Ingredients
You can include any of your favorite veggies! Here is what I used:
- Celery
- Broccoli
- Red, Yellow, or Orange Peppers
- Cucumbers
- Radishes
- Carrots
- Tomatoes
- Cauliflower
- Lettuce
- Cabbage (hollow out to hold the dip. You can also use a bell pepper!)
- Ranch Dip or favorite Veggie Dip
Directions
- Start with a basket (the size will vary depending on the size of your gathering.)
- Take two small bowls and place them upside down in the basket. Add a wooden serving board on top.
- Cover the board with lettuce or cabbage leaves in a fan shape so the sides of the board are covered.
- Hollow out a cabbage or a bell pepper for the dip and place in the center of the board.
- Surround the dip with veggies and enjoy!

Perfect Presentation Platters
I used this wooden cutting board and this wicker basket, which fit perfectly together! You can use just about any cute basket or wooden serving board for this! I also added a cute ribbon and flowers for an extra touch. Here are some other cute options!
Baskets: This white basket from Michaels is so pretty, as well as this larger option if you’re feeding a crowd! If you’re using a round serving board, you could also use this pretty round basket.
Tip: It’s also okay if the serving board is slightly larger than the basket, as long as it fits within the handle. In that case, you won’t need the bowls to prop up the serving board. I always recommend double checking the dimensions to save you a trip with returns! (I’m the worst at returns!) 🙂
Kitchen Links: I get asked all the time about the products in the background of my kitchen. Much of it is from MacKenzie-Childs, which I have slowly grown a collection of over the years! My favorites are this checkered chopping board that I used for this recipe, my black and white checkered teapot, and the gray and white checkered utensil holder. I also have this enamel canister that you can find in small, medium, or large.
Can I Prep This Veggie Basket Ahead of Time?
Absolutely! You can wash and cute all the veggies up to a couple of days ahead of time. Just keep them in Ziploc Bags or Tupperware containers so they stay fresh!
Storing Leftovers
Just like if you prep in advance, be sure to store and refrigerate any leftovers from your Veggie Basket in the refrigerator, either in Ziploc Bags or in Tupperware container. These should stay fresh for up to a week!
Enjoy!
