Here’s a Quick Video Tutorial!

Perfect Presentation Platters

You can put these Bird Nest Cupcakes on just about anything, from platters to Easter platters to cake stands. Here are some of my favorites!

Easter Platters: How adorable is the wooden bunny platter from Tj Maxx? We also love these adorable pastel plaid Easter serving trays from JC Penney for a great price!

Cake Stands:  This wood and metal option is gorgeous for a great price, as well as this wooden stand from Walmart that is super clean and modern looking. I also love this marble and acacia cake stand, or MacKenzie-Childs also has this beautiful blue-and-white cake-stand.

White Serving Platters: I love this marble tray from Walmart for an amazing price!! For another all-white option, this white marble pastry board from World Market is my favorite!

Kitchen Links: I get asked all the time about the products in the background of my kitchen. Much of it is from MacKenzie-Childs, which I have slowly grown a collection of over the years! My favorites are this checkered chopping board, my black and white checkered teapot, and the gray and white checkered utensil holder. I also have this enamel canister that you can find in smallmedium, or large.

Can I Prep These in Advance?

Absolutely! You can bake (or purchase) and frost the cupcakes ahead of time. Making the Cotton Candy nests is so fast, that we’d recommend waiting until closer to serving time to prep. You can place them in a Ziploc Bag or Tupperware container so they stay fresh!

Storing Leftover Cotton Candy Bird Nests

Carefully place any leftover cupcakes in a Tupperware container, where they should stay fresh for several days. I prefer to refrigerate mine, but you can also keep at room temp.
