Easy Chili Recipe in under 30 minutes!

With the weather finally cooling down here in Texas I am craving all the comfort food! My favorite thing to cook in the cooler months is chili! I love it not only because it is easy but it is always a crowd pleaser! This recipe is sure to turn into your favorite! It is my go to easy chili recipe in under 30 minutes.

Cook it in large batches and put it in the freezer for later! I always cook this recipe with Beef but you could always use Turkey if you desire! Its not to spicy and is the perfect hearty meal. Don’t forget to top it with my three favorite toppings: sour cream, cheese and avocado!

Notes:

  • You can use a crockpot instead, just brown the meat prior to adding it to the slow cooker for the best flavor.
  • I used black beans and kideny beans for this easy chili recipe, but you can change out the beans for any that you wish!
  • To make this spicer, add more chili powder and add a chopped jalapeno.

Easy Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef 93% lean
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • small onion chopped – 1 onion
  • 1 can 15 ounces reduced-sodium kidney beans, rinsed, drained
  • 1 can 15 ounces reduced-sodium black beans, rinsed, drained
  • 2 cans 10 ounce mild diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • canned tomato sauce – 1 cup
  • reduced-sodium beef broth – 1 cup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

Classic stove top chili recipe:

  • Heat a large pot on medium-high heat, brown the beef and season with salt. Cook beef into crumbles while stirring occasionally.
  • Add the onion and cook 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add the beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth and spices to the large pot.
  • Cover and cook low heat 30 minutes to absorb the flavors, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve with toppings, as desired and enjoy!

  • Add the onion and cook 1 to 2 minutes. Add the beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth and spices.
  • Cover and cook low heat 30 minutes to blend the flavors, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve with toppings, as desired.
