DIY Faux Stained Glass Window Tutorial
Hi friends! I know we have been stuck inside for a few weeks now and are looking for some fun easy activities to keep our kids busy. Not all of us have the luxury of being able to spend these days outside so today I want to share with you an activity that you can do inside. This DIY Faux Stained Glass Window project is great for kids of all ages! You probably already have the items you need already in your home!
Materials for a DIY Faux Stained Glass Window
- Crayola Washable paint or Acrylic Paint with Dish Soap
- Electrical Tape or Painters Tape
- Paint Brush
Steps
- Tape off you window into different shapes using the electrical tape. Have fun with it! We added a cross to the center of the window!
- Paint each shape a different color using Crayola Washable Paint. If you don’t have washable paint you can add dish soap to acrylic paint so it washes off easily.
Is that the easiest tutorial you have ever read? I also added a boarder using electrical tape around the window so it had a finished look!
Note: We have not yet tried to wash it off the window yet. I did have to wash some paint off the sides and it came off easily with a wet cloth. I will update this post when we do!
It makes me so happy to see the delivery men and neighbors smile when they walk past our house! One of the best things that has come from this pandemic is seeing the community come together. I am praying that this is all over soon and I hope y’all are staying safe during this difficult time.
xoxo,
Leanna
