How to Make a Festive Rudolph Dessert Board

Sharing is caring!

This Rudolph Dessert Board combines simple buttercream frosting with your favorite sweets for a fun and festive treat! This is a perfect idea for holiday parties, coworkers, or a special memory at home!

Rudolph Dessert Board

Ingredients

  1. Buttercream frosting – I like this recipe, or you can just buy store-bought frosting already in piping bags! Another option is to just place canned chocolate frosting in a piping bag.
  2. Keebler Fudge Sticks for antlers – I used 8! For a smaller board, you can break them in half.
  3. Favorite desserts or fruits for dipping in the buttercream.

Directions

  1. Trace and cut out a template with parchment paper, using a bowl to make two separate circles (One for Rudolph’s nose/muzzle, one for his face.)
  2. Use chocolate frosting for Rudolph’s face, red icing for Rudolph’s nose, and white and black for his eyes.
  3. Add Keebler’s Fudge Sticks for antlers.
  4. Add a variety of other sweets or fruit for dipping and enjoy!

Here’s a Quick Video Tutorial!

Perfect Presentation Platters

Outfit: I wore this cozy gray sweater (that also comes in black) paired with this pretty plaid skirt.

Serving Board: I used this White Reclaimed Wood Pizza Board for my tray! I also use this Oversized Circular Serving Board all the time! There is also a similar Lazy Susan version that is so convenient.

Christmas Platters: If you’d like to use a holiday platter, I love this Nutcracker Serving Platter and this Gingerbread Man Plate from Kirklands, as well as this Christmas Mercantile Tray from the Pioneer Woman.

Kitchen Links: My adorable red Santa’s Bakery sign is from Etsy! The Gingerbread House and Gingerbread Man Platter are both from Pottery Barn. The Nutcracker Cookie Jar is from Mac-Kenzie-Childs (and makes a great gift!) My checkered rug is also MacKenzie-Childs. The Christmas Tree shaped cutting board is from Antique Farmhouse!

Can I Prep This Rudolph Dessert Board Ahead of Time?

Yes, you can definitely pipe the reindeer design and keep refrigerated for about two days ahead of serving time. I wouldn’t recommend covering it with Saran Wrap so the design doesn’t get messy. If you’d prefer to make homemade cookies and other treats, you can definitely prep those a few days in advance as well – just keep them stored in a Tupperware container or Ziploc bag.

Storing Leftover Goodies

I always recommend keeping the packaging for the sweets, so you can simply put any back that you’d like afterwards. You can also store any goodies in Ziploc Bags or Tupperware containers if you no longer have the packaging. The Buttercream Rudolph can be put in the fridge, where it should stay fresh for 2-3 days.
