Ingredients
- Pretzel Rolls: Savory and toasty, their signature “pretzel” flavor and chewy texture work so well as a slider bun. Hawaiian rolls also taste delicious as another option.
- Ground Beef: We like 80/20 or 90/10 for flavor. Use ground turkey for a lighter slider.
- Yellow Onion: An essential Big Mac topping, to bring aromatic flavor.
- Cheddar Cheese: Sharp and melty.
- Lettuce: Crisp and crunchy for texture. Shredded is a must!
- Dill Pickles: Use hamburger chips for that quintessential Big Mac bite.
- Thousand Island Dressing: Use your favorite store-bought brand. Or make a homemade version if you’re up for it!
- Eggs: The binder for the meat patty.
- Garlic Powder & Minced Onion: To taste, for added flavor and seasoning to the meat.
How To Make Big Mac Sliders
1. Combine ground beef, minced onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder and eggs. Place bottom half of dinner rolls on a baking sheet in two groups (about 9 rolls in reach group.)

2. Divide mixture in half and form two rectangles that are a little bit bigger than the dinner rolls on a baking sheet.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until meat is cooked.
4. Spoon two tablespoons of thousand island dressing on bottoms of buns.
5. Blot any extra grease off with a paper towel & place the meat patties on top of buns. Drizzle Thousand Island on top.

6. Place cheese on top of the meat patties. Put tray back in the oven until cheese is melted.

7. Remove from oven and add minced onion, pickles, & lettuce. Top with buns.
Expert Tips
- Get Rid of Excess Grease. Be sure to thoroughly blot the meat patties once they’re cooked. Remove them from the baking sheet and let them drain on a paper towel lined plate so you don’t end up with soggy buns and oily sliders.
- Try Different Cheese. Use American cheese for a classic burger flavor and super melty texture. And try adding a layer of cheese beneath and on top of the meat patty for even more cheesiness.
- Add Shredded Lettuce: Finely shred ice cold iceberg or romaine for an extra crisp, perfect texture.
- Brush Buns With Butter: Brush the top of the pretzel buns with melted butter, then sprinkle on sesame seeds to really give the sliders that signature Big Mac presentation.
- Add Sautéed Onions: While this topping might not be on a traditional Big Mac, they would definitely give these sliders extra delicious patty melt-style flavor.

Storage
If you have leftover sliders, store them wrapped in foil or in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 days. To reheat, warm them in a 350° oven wrapped in foil to keep them from drying out. We also recommend removing any fresh toppings like shredded lettuce and pickles. Add them fresh when you’re ready to serve again.
Prep these sliders ahead of time. Make and form the meat mixture in advance, then cover and store in the fridge until you’re ready to cook. You can even fully assemble the sliders without the sauce and lettuce, bake, and then add your fresh toppings right before serving.

FAQs
Yes! You can assemble them without the lettuce and sauce, bake, and then add the fresh toppings right before serving.
Definitely. Hawaiian rolls or dinner rolls work well if pretzel buns aren’t available.
Classic Big Mac sauce traditionally is made with mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, sweet relish, vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder.
The cooked beef mixture can be frozen, but assembled sliders are best fresh.
Be sure to lightly toast the buns before assembling, and add the lettuce and sauce right before serving so the buns don’t get soggy.
