A Simple Patriotic Picnic for Memorial Day

Table Setting
Setting an outdoor picnic doesn’t have to be hard, as it is a picnic after all! I love to use a mix of fun festive paper products with chargers, cutlery, and cloth napkins. You can always use paper napkins if you prefer but I really do like the texture the cloth napkins add to the table. I simply tied them with a festive patriotic ribbon.
Table Runner
I love to mix up patterns when setting an outdoor table. When selecting various patterns, make sure to stick to one main color scheme. For this patriotic picnic table setting I choose the colors red, white and blue.
For the table runner I used a cut piece of fabric that I found at my local craft store. It is always fun to think outside of the box when creating a table setting. Especially if you can’t find what you are looking for at an affordable cost!
Festive Decor
When creating an outdoor table, I always like to add some extra decor to the space. It easily creates a great ambiance for guests and sets the scene! I hung an American Ribbon flag in the trees and a few festive paper lanterns. I also love to add festive pillows and a string of lights for when the sun goes down.
